What do we believe in?

Foundation First Speech Pathology is dedicated providing ethical, evidence-based practice to NDIS and private paying participants. We are committed to a positive workflow from healthy, engaged clinicians to successful therapies and outcomes for clients and families. We offer services specifically for children, honing skills in this practice area and ensuring that clients are offered the best available care through reducing clinical demands on clinicians and promoting ethical utilisation rates.

Do you have what it takes?

The formal stuff:

In this role, you are required to provide high quality, evidence-based services to paediatric clients both in clinic and outreach appointments (home, school, preschool) as required. We are looking for someone passionate about their own learning and development and committed to supporting families.

 

All applicants must have:

  • A relevant accredited degree in Speech Pathology

  • Eligibility and membership with Speech Pathology Australia

  • A Current NSW Driver's License and access to a vehicle

  • A Current NDIS Worker's Check

  • Fully vaccinated (3 doses) against COVID-19 or relevant Medical Exemption

 

Essential Criteria

  • Demonstrated ability to work within a billable model and be accountable for daily activities.

  • Knowledge of, and experience in holistic approaches to early intervention.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop functional goals with a family and build capacity in the child’s networks to achieve the goals in the child’s natural environments (e.g., home, school and in the community)

  • Demonstrated ability to work in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to support children and their families

  • Demonstrated skills in working in partnership with local child and family services

  • Experience working with children and families from culturally diverse backgrounds and people with disability

  • Effective oral and written communication and organisational skills

  • Knowledge, and experience of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
